Helianthus pauciflorus enjoys drier settings and full to partial sun exposure. Due to its rhizomatous tendencies, Showy Sunflower can get aggressive in small area plantings which means it may not be a suitable species for smaller home landscape projects. However, in a prairie setting, Helianthus pauciflorus flourishes and offers beneficial relationships to a variety of pollinators.
